Read on to for three things you should take into consideration before heading out for your festivities:
Cinco de Mayo Hair 101
1. Go for updos.
Wearing your hair down is cute and all, but what not cute is sweaty hair. While you’re having fun, dancing, sipping on margaritas, you’re bound to get a little warm and that may not go well. Since there probably is no time for fixing your hair if things get a little rough, look into hairstyle options that don’t require much effort. Opt for updos, or even a half-up style could work in your favor.
2. Bring a dry shampoo
If you do happen to decide to wear your hair down, we suggest a wavy style. If you do sweat, it should work in your favor. Bring a dry shampoo like TRESemmé Fresh & Clean Dry Shampoo (preferably a travel-sized one) to touch up your hair in the bathroom or in the back of a cab.
3. Don’t schedule a hair appointment the day after.
Unless you’re not working the next day, use your free time to rest after a night of fun. If you need to wash your hair, you can do that in the comfort of your own home. Use Love Beauty and Planet Indian Lilac & Clove Leaf Shampoo and Conditioner to cleanse and give your hair a glossy shine.
